Will Smith has returned to his roots releasing his first album in 20 years, "Based on a True Story." The surprise album features collaborations with Big Sean, Teyana Taylor, and his son Jaden. "Beautiful Scars" is his lead single which draws inspiration from the 1999 blockbuster, "The Matrix."
In June 2024, Smith debuted the single "You Can Make It" at the BET Awards, accompanied by the Sunday Service Choir. The performance marked his return to the stage since the Oscars.
That same year, Smith reprised his role in "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," which earned $104.6 million globally in its first weekend. The film received positive audience feedback, marking a successful return to the franchise.
Despite personal challenges, including a publicized marriage separation, Smith's recent projects demonstrate his resilience and commitment to his craft, gradually restoring his standing in the entertainment industry.
