It's time to "level up."
If you don't know what that means R&B hit-maker Ciara will tell you that it means taking your life in a new direction and projecting your plans to a new dimension. Elevate yourself by creating a solid foundation--for and within yourself. Go higher in your endeavors by developing a consistent routine that prioritizes your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Psychologists call this expanding your self-efficacy.
People with high self-efficacy tend to have strong self-esteem and are more creative and better leaders than those who lack it. They're more confident because they are always working on themselves and planning for new opportunities for growth. They have a growth mindset--one that won't accept failure as defeat.
Don't delay your "glow up" any longer. Elevate yourself with these key reinforcements:
Eat Good Food and Exercise
Eat in moderation, but be sure to partake in the foods you enjoy. Be mindful of nutritional value, and remember that a little movement is better than none. Engage in moderately intense cardio and muscle-strengthening exercises three to five days a week to ensure that your body stays and strong and healthy.
Network
Connecting with and learning from others is a powerful way to invest in yourself. According to Aristotle, "A friend is another self." And we need meaningful relationships with others to keep us socially competent and interested in the people around us, opening doors to connection, and growth.
Pray
Stay in prayer. Prayer keeps you aligned and focused on God who makes it possible for you to achieve anything you set your mind to.
Work on yourself--layer by layer. Your goal must always be to build upward and "level up!"
